I have Exchange 2003 running on a server and I also have clients who work
outside the office. If they use a program such as Outlook Express, they can
recieve their mail and they can send to people within the organization, but
the problem occurs when they try to send to an outside address. I have set
up an SMTP connector and the only way I'm able to get the users to have the
ability to send to an outside address is to check the box "Allow messages to
be relayed to these domains" and I've got a "*" in the Address Space. I
don't want to open my system to be able to relay for the world so I'm looking
for an answer.
Also, at this time, this server is still in an environment that is Windows
NT4 and the DNS server is another server. Can DNS be part of my problem?
Thanks
