Hi,
I am currently planning to migrate our SBS 2003 server to Standard 2003 on a
new server with the current Exhange SBS being most important. After initial
investigations it would seem that the best way to perform this would be to
use the transition pack to upgrade SBS 2003 to standard 2003 products then
migrate Exchange on to a new Exchange 2003 server which is not yet on the
network.
I just wondered if anyone has any experience with this sort of upgrade and
could advise on potential issues with this task of transition
We just want to get exchange off the SBS server initially
What i was thinking is to add the new Exchange 2003 server to the domain and
join the current SBS based Exchange organisation, migrate mailboxes on to the
new server, configure, and decomission exchange off the old SBS box. Is this
possible. Can an Exchange 2003 Server cooperate in the same organisation as
the SBS Exchange implementation.
any advice appreciated
