I am moving a client from SBS2000 to SBS2003. I am setting up the SBS 2003
server offsite and will create all the users & mailboxes now before I take
the new server to the office for installation.
Although this is a small office (12 users), it is a sustantial cleanup &
restructuring effort for this client that will include making logon ID's
consistent. Therefore, some of the new user ID's are different from the
existing ones on their SBS2000 server. However, every user has a mailbox on
the current Exchange (SBS 2000) server. Different internal domain, same
external domain & e-mail addresses.
How can I map/migrate the existing SBS2000 mailboxes to existing users on
the new server/domain? Or do I have to keep the same user ID's and/or aliases?
