I am wondering if it is possible to configure Exchange 2k3 to access
the microsoft public newsgroups.
The reason I am wondering is I attempted to configure this on my
system here, and nothing was happening, so I checked the log file for
the NNTP protocol for the exchange server (I turn on logging of all
new protocols until they are working as they should, then I turn them
off if they are logging huge piles of stuff). I see the following
repeated in the log file (sample shown here)
207.46.248.16, <feed>, 4/29/2006, 11:49:10, NNTPSVC1, CONSTELLATION,

I assume the exchange server is doing something different that the
microsoft public news server does not like. I have attempted to set
the connection up as a inbound peer, and even as a master feed, but
nothing I've tried seems to change that error message.
Has anyone managed to get this to work, and if so what did you need to
do?
Unfortunately my previous news server configs have all been inn based,
and this is my first exchange server I have tried to get this to work
on, so I did the "sensible" thing and followed the basic help and
other guides... but it's not working...
Of course, if it isn't possible to configure Microsoft Exchange to
access the Microsoft public newsgroups if someone could let me know
that I would be grateful too...
