I am trying to map a virtual directory to a shared folder on a computer that
is in a different domain. I have domain permisssions that allow adminstrator
access to the remote machine. The destination folder has a user of
"everyone" with "full control" permissions.
From the IIS server I can browse to the folder that I want to use for the
In IIS properties for the virtual directory:
I enter the path as, \\ipaddress\folder\folder\folder\
Under 'connect as' I enter the user as: remotedomain\remoteuserid, and I use
my remote domain password.
This does not work.
As a test, I discovered that I can map to other machines that are in the
same domain as the IIS machine, so I figure the problem has something to do
with going across domains. Can someone help me see what I am doing wrong?
