Here is what I would like to do...
I have a Windows 2008 64 bit server attached to a SAN in one location (corp
office.)
I have another Windows 2008 64 bit server attached to a different SAN in a
Different location (DR Site.)The two locations are connected together via a 1
gigabit fibre connection.
The servers are on the same VLan 10.8.25.0/24 (for example)
I want to install SQL 2005 64 bit into the cluster.
I have the Windows 2008 failover cluster feature installed on both servers,
but not sure what to do after that. I want to setup a active/passive cluster
where the active will run at the corp office. This way if the server fails at
my corp office, the server at the DR site will take over & the end users will
be up and running. I am not sure what Quorum to use in the Cluster or how to
get the data replicated.
I have tried to find some white papers online, but came up empty.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Jason
