|Subject:||Remove Parent Domain Controller|

We have a parent.com and a child.parent.com domain. The parent.domain
controller is on an extremely old and non-redundant whitebox. We had one
whitebox backup domain controller die recently, and I want to be proactive
before the same happens to this DC.
There is really no reason we have a parent-child setup...it's just been like
that forever. My question is how to best remove the unneeded parent DC and
use only the parent.child.com domain as the primary one. We make all user
changes in that domain, and it is the only domain to which we log on.
