Thank you for your help in advance. Hope you can help. It is critical to me...
I have a domain controller disconnected in one of our sites (network cable
unplugged) for a long time, longer than 4 months. It has another DC on the
site taking over its role. I did not know the result was so bad that I should
not have disconnected it.
Now I tried to demote the domain controller by running the DCPromo. However,
it did not let me do so. The error told me "Managing the network sessions
with WPCP-fp02 failed" -- WPCPfp02 is my another new domain controller in the
site. It also told "the logon failure: The target account name is incorrect".
Could you tell me what to do to demote this DC Controller and remove it from
the Active Directory correctly?
My personal email address ultrabobs…@hotmail.com.
Thank you again for your help. I really appreciate.
