I had a problem this morning where a VPN rule was killing DNS traffic
between my Texas and CA sites. What I saw during that time was people in
Texas not being able to identify anythin by name (internally or externally).
My setup is such that all FSMO roles are held in CA and there are two DC's at
each location. Can anyone make sense as to why a link between the two sites
(for a short time) going down would make the DC's not even be able launch an
nslookup and find themselves?
