Our forest has a single domain and we have over 130 remote sites. Our
headquarters has 2 domain controllers and we have started rolling out virtual
dc's to our remote sites. We currently have approx. 40 sites with virtual
dc’s.

We have turned off KCC and just have each site replicating back to our
headquarters.

First, should we have mesh replication where all sites replicate with all
the rest.

The main problem, though, is that it seems we have replication issues. We
will remove a pc from the domain, re-image it and attempt to rejoin it to the
domain with the same name. We will delete the computer object and force
replication. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t. We will get error
messages saying the computer object still exists, even though we have checked
multiple dc’s and the object has been deleted. In other cases, the computer
object for an existing pc that is on the domain will just disappear.

We obviously have a problem with our replication but I need some direction
on the best way to fix/optimize it.
