On several client PC's I am getting the following error messages, and
usually a user account lock out occurs at the same time.

The error messages are:

Source: LSASRV
Catagory: SPNEGO (Negotiator)
Event ID: 40961
Description: The security system could not establish a secured
connection with the server cifs/servername. No authentication protocol
was available

and the second is:
Source: LSASRV
Catagory: SPNEGO (Negotiator)
Event ID: 40960
Description: The Security System detected an attempted downgrade attack
for server cifs/servername.  The failure code from authentication
protocol Kerberos was "There are currently no logon servers available
to service the logon request.
(0xc000005e)".

I have searched KB and the groups, but all suggestions either don't
apply (wrong Server os) or don't work.

The Clients are XPsp2 and the domain is all WIndows 2000 SP4.

Thanks
