I am in the process of upgrading my exchange 2000, to exchange 2000
enterprise. I also am moving the server to a new machine.
I have already installed exchange on the new server and im in the
I created a new account and gave him a mailbox tied to the new server.
Unfortunately outlook said the server I tried to attach him to was not
So I opened the "Exchange System Manager" (on the new server) and
noticed that my Mailbox Store and Public Folder Store was not mounted.
When I tried to force mount them I received the following error.
The store could not be mounted because the Active Directory information
was not replicated yet. You can either: 1) press Cancel and mount the
store from its context menu or, 2) press Retry to let the Exchange
System Manager keep trying to mount the store for you."
I click retry or cancel and receive this error.
"Exchange System Manager
The Microsoft Exchange Information Store service could not find the
ID no: c1041722
Exchange System Manager"
My event veiwer is giving me the following error every 30 seconds.
Under the Application Log
"Event ID: 9175
The MAPI call 'OpenMsgStore' failed with the following error:
The Microsoft Exchange Server computer is not available. Either there
are network problems or the Microsoft Exchange Server computer is down
The MAPI provider failed."
I cant help but think this is a permissions issue but if you guys have
any other thoughts or inputs I would greatly appreciate them.
