I get this message running the File server reports under R2.
"The Storage Reports service encountered an error while opening directory
E:\xxx. Please make sure that this directory is accessible from
Explorer/command line. Also, double-check the security settings for this
directory such that the Local SYSTEM account (under which the Storage Reports
service is running) can access this directory."
Is there a way that I can change the service account these reports use?
I changed the account that the "File server storage reports" service uses to
the local administrator and it starts fine
I changed the account that the "File server resource manager" service uses
to the local administrator and it will NOT start. ( administrator does have
log on as a service right ) so I changed it back.
No joy stll getting above message.
I have over 1 Million files in these directories and I have no intention of
reseting NTFS permissions on a directory structure that has a lot of
inheritance switched of for business reasons.
Is there a way out here ?
