|Subject:||Win2003 - Network share - cannot open files with .log extension|

I face this strange problem only on Win2003 servers. When I login to
any of the servers and open a network share (\\someserver\c$\somedir)
and type to open say a ".log" file by double-clicking on it, its does
nothing. No error, no message, nothing at all ! If I rename it to say
".txt" file, it opens just fine.
Now, if I go to the dos prompt and type in "notepad
\\someserver\c$\somedir\somefile" it opens up the file just fine !
The above happens only on Win2003, it works fine on Win2000
If someone can tell me how to get this to work, I would appreciate it.
