Good day,
I'm getting the following errors when I right click on my Tape Device under
Removable Storage in an attempt to Inventory the drive:
Removable Storage:
Unable to read from or write to the database.
There is a problem with the Removable Storage Service. Please restart the
service.
Removable Storage
The object identifier does not represent a valid object.
This snap-in's display may be inconsistent with the Removable Storage
Service. If the problem persists please restart the snap-in.
I have tried restarting both the Console and the Service. I have also looked
at Article 841187.
We applied a firmware upgrade but we never seemed to have problems until
recently after we upgraded the server to Windows 2003.
The problem does not happen often, however, I'm wondering if the patch
mentioned in Article 841187 will assist.
Will it be possible to email or provide a link to the patch for us to try?
