I have a brand new Windows 2003 64 R2 server that I am trying to install
software onto but keep getting the following error.
windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have
the appropriate permission to access the item
The software is on a server 2003 share drive, all of our other servers have
no problems accessing and running the .exe's. I can open .doc's and other
just fine. I read in another post that ie7 might be causing it. I
uninstalled ie7 on both, no change. I can right click and select run as, the
local admin account and everything is fine. Is this a new security feature
for R2?
Thanks
Jason
