We have an Intel Xeon 3ghz Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition
SP2 that stalls out regularly (the last 4 months!) around 3:30-4:00 PM.
Recently it won't stall on Monday & Tuesday.
When it stalls we have been looking at the processes and had a network
traffic monitor running. The network traffic came up fine and the processes
just froze. The only way to get the server going again is to do a hard reset
of the system.
The event log sees NOTHING! The server is only 2-3 years old. We don't
have anyone in the office doing anything at those times and have no scheduled
tasks. We have plenty of hard drive space.
On the weekends it does stall out as usual but by 7:00 pm it has is back to
normal without a hard reset.
We've had several general techs in to look at it and they are all stumped.
