I have a network with (currently) one Win 2003 Standard Server and about
60-80 Win XP SP2 work stations. We have an unused server that I want to
setup to do the following, and since I have never done anything like this
before, am looking for advice. The 2nd server currently has Windows Server
2003 but I can wipe it out and rebuild it if needed. The data on it has been
stored on regular server.
I want to use it as secondary DNS server to the main one
I want to run MS Software Update Service to download and distribute windows
I want to use it to download virus definitions from my AntiVirus vendor so I
can distribute them that way. Trying that using the normal business server
will bring it to its knees.
What is the best way to setup this server?
Thanks in advance.
