|Subject:||Problems after setting /3GB switch in boot.ini|

On a Windows 2003 Server Enterprise web server that also runs SQL Server
2005 Standard and a rather large ASP.NET 2.0 application, I tried to improve
performance by adding the /3GB switch to the boot.ini file.
The server has only 4GB of RAM.
After adding the switch, hoping to boost performace for SQL Server, and
rebooting the machine, I now find that my ASP.NET application which uses SQL
Server as a backend, is running much slower than before.
I have since removed the /3GB switch from the boot.ini and rebooted the
server, but the peformance has not returned.
Is there a registry setting that might be stuck that I would need to fix?
Thanks for any help...
